RESTORATION OF AN ANATOLIAN KILIM

This article describes the restoration of an anatolian kilim. It gives an account on the results of the material investigations, dyeing of the yarns used for the completion, cleaning and substitution of the smaller missing parts. It deals with in details with the individually made newly wowen missing parts- which were previously cut out from the carpet and that is why the balance of the composition is disturbed.
