of the missing chalk priming (sifted mountain chalk soaked for two days = 1/5 parts of rabbit skin glue soaked for 24 hours + a few drops of linseed oil) which was polished by a 30% mastix + turpentine mixture. Distemper was used for retouch by hatching the more larger extensive surfaces and motifs. The tempera painting was finished off by retouching in artist's oil paint and coating the painted surfaces by a 50% mastix varnish.

Restaurierung eines Rokoko-Tischleins - Zusammenfassung Die Verfasserin schildert die Restaurierung eines sich in Privatbesitz befindenden Tischleins, welches angeblich um 1740 aus Berover Fichte angefertigt wurde. Die den Gegenstand bedeckende dicke Lackschicht nahm mit der Zeit ein gelb-braune Färbung an. Es fehlte fast die Hälfte der Grundierung auf der Oberfläche der ovalen Tischplatte, auf welche ursprünglich mit helltürkiser Grundfarbe ein aus Rosen, Tulpen und Vergissmeinnicht zusammengesetzte Blumenstrauss aufgemalt war. Die profilierten Rande waren an mehreren Stellen beschädigt. Die'auf die Beine gemalten Blumenstrausse waren fast völlig abgewetzt. Die Schnitzereien waren abgebrochen. Bei einer genauen Untersuchung des Gegenstandes wurde deutlich, dass er früher schon einmal unsachgemass ausgebessert worden war.
