T. Agnes Balázsy With a scholarship In Holland The author has made a study-tour to Holland In the frame of the Hungarlan-Dutch Inter-governmental Cultural and Educational Labour Plan. A four month scholarship passed in a museum research Institute having a great past can be compared with the journeymen' years of the Middle Ages. The lucky chemist or restorer can get knowledge of working methods, éxperiences, ideas* concerning the restoration and research and can make acquaintance of people dealing with similar tasks and problems. Besides being set on the exploitation of the working possibilities assured by the study-tour also In his job, he tries to go about open-eyed in order to gather everything as far as possible and to transfer’It to the circle which he is belonging to. The report makes known the Central Research Laboratory for Objects of Art and Science of Amsterdam, presents the experts working there and writes about their works, but It draws also a picture of the protection of works of art in Holland. At the same time it gives an idea of the readiness to help of the Dutch Institute for Cultural Connections and the Dutch colleagues manifesting itself both in the professional and human relations. Agnes Balázsy Mit einem Stipendium in Holland Die Verfasserin ist im Rahmen des Ungarisch-Holländischen Zwischenstaatlichen Kulturellen und Unterrichtsplanes nach Holland gereist. Ein viermonatiges Stipendium im Forschungsinstitut eines Museums von grosser Vergangenheit Ist mit den Wanderjahren der mittelalterlichen Gildegesellen zu vergleichen. Der glückliche Chemiker oder Restaurator kann Arbeitsmethoden, Erfahrungen, Ideen über die Restaurierung und Forschung, sowie Leute, die sich mit ähnlichen Aufgaben und Problemen beschäftigen, erkennen. Ausserdem, dass er sich nach der Ausnützung der Arbeitsmöglichkeiten in seiner Arbeit bestrebt, die das Stipendium für ihn möglich macht, bemüht er sich mit offenen Augen zu gehen, um alles, was er sammeln kann, dem Kreis, den er repräsentiert, weiterzugeben können. Der Bericht beschreibt das Amsterdamer Museumszentrallaboratorium, vorstellt die dort tätigen Fachleute und deren Arbeiten, gibt aber auch ein Bild vom Kunstgegenstandschutz in Holland. Gleichzeitig macht er wahrnehmbar die Hilfsbereitschaft des Holländischen Institut für Kulturellen Beziehungen und der Amsterdamer Kollegen ebenso in fachlicher, wie in menschlicher Hinsicht.
