Mong. 55 A Guide to the Path of Enlightenment: The Ambrosial Melted Gold Manuscript, 17th/ 18th century pothi, 44.2 : 7.8 (32.3 : 6) cm, yellowish white, fragile paper, with a small hole on each comer of the frame; from 3a on double side-lines only (text width 32.3 cm); Mongol pagination, recto, left margin beyond frame/side-line; 32-34 lines/page; calamus, black ink, compact but calligraphic style with bold vertical elements (less calligraphic style on ff. 18b, 20ab); final M with/without "horns", medial j = £; Uigur Z for final ş; Uigur D also initially and before consonants, sometimes medial Uigur T before vowels; final K with one/two "teeth"; N is sporadically marked, etc. Tibetan interlinear glosses, e.g., f. 2a30, ijayur-un kubyug-ba with Tibetan khu-byug-pa : F. 10a20 has one line inserted, with Oirat T-s: ene/ cölöge(-tü bütügsen sitügen cindamani-aca ülemji:) ene metü­yi etc. F. 1 right side edges damaged; ff. 7-9, 21-22 with worm-eaten hole. Mong. 56 Worship of Sacred Mounds on Mountain Passes Manuscript, 18th/19th century pothi, 45.4 : 10.2 cm, yellowish paper pasted of several layers; Mongol pagination on left margin; colourless ruling; 28 narrow and 8 wide lines on f. 1; 32 wide lines on f. 2a, etc.; calamus, black ink, sparse, in 18th century Manchu-like style (cf., e.g., final B, but final M is closed; Uigur S for final ş; inconsistent usage of the diacriticals; small and large size. Title on the cover: Kötél oboyan-i takiqui sudur bui : "[This] is the Sûtra [of] Worshipping the Sacred Mounds [on] Mountain Passes".
