Mong. 171 Libation for Heaven Manuscript, late 19th century pothi of Russian paper (now yellowish grey, with brown stains), 33.1 : 10.3 cm, no frame, Manchu pagination on the left margin, 14 lines/page, brush, black ink; diacriticals for N (also for unwritten N as in süü-[n]i ) and Q as y, Manchu Y, -a 7- for -ayi-, etc. Title on the cover: O Tngri-tü/ takil/ ergükü/ sacul/ orsibai*> (=5 dots) "[Here] is the Libation to Be Offered to Heaven." (With 4 lines scratched below.) Title on the cover written lengthwise: Erketü möngkü tenggeriyin sang orosiboi om â hüm • "[Here] is the Incense Offering to the Mighty Eternal Heaven, om, etc." The same and other, hardly legible words are written by pencil on the side of the title and below. 248
