Moravek Endre: Index acronymorum selectorum. Pars 5. Instituta ad artes litteraturamque spectantia cum siglis periodicorum additis (A MTAK kiadványai 66. Budapest, 1972)

- X word were printed in capital letters. For several different abbreviations of the same institutions the full title has been given only once and at the variants a sign of equality points to the place where the full name is found. For abbreviations composed of the same letters but used in various forms (fully capitalized or partly with lowercase letters) we had to give up the insertion of all variants. The whole material is given in two alphabetical orders, Romanic and Cyrillic. Since our book is mainly for use of Hungarian specialists we have followed the characteristics of the Hungarian language, consequently the letters ö_ and ii have been treated as independent letters in the Romanic alphabet after _o and u. We suppose that this peculiarity of the alphabetic order won't disturb the foreign users of this book. Diacritics have not been taken into consideration in the alphabetic order. In the Cyrillic alphabet abbreviations beginning by an Ukrainian "i" or a Serbian "j" naturally form separate groups. We do hope that the present modest work - in spite of its shortcomings will provide some assistance for its users. The Editor
