Moravek Endre: Index acronymorum selectorum. Pars 1. Instituta rerum publicarum (A MTAK kiadványai 46. Budapest, 1965)
The entire material is listed according to two alphabets, Latin and Cyrillic, but since the volume is primarily intended for Hungarian researchers, the Latin alphabet includes the particular Hungarian letters, e.g., "ö" and "ü" follow after the "o" and "u" respectively. We believe that this peculiarity will not cause the foreign reader any difficulty. The so-called diacritical marks were disregarded in the alphabetical arrangement. Abbreviations beginning with the Ukrainen _i and the Soviet comprise separate groups in the Cyrillic alphabetical listing. Let us take the opportunity to express our thanks to the Hungarian and foreign reviewers of the previous volumes for their valuable comments and suggestions. We are especially grateful to the editors of "Zentralblatt für Bibliothekswesen" who thoroughly criticized every booklet and even commented by letter. We are also indebted to the control editors who, after the conscientious reading of the material, made valuable suggestions for the improvement of the work. We hope that this volume - in spite of its omissions and errors will be a useful source of reference to all those interested in this field. Budapest, September .15» 1964. The compiler
