He founded the Kőszeg Museum of Local History and Knowledge of the Native Land, and in 1936, organized the natural-history research in the Kőszeg Hills appeared so far in three volumes (Figure 2.35). 148 Zoological examinations of the area were able to continue in 2000 with funding from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. The prime purpose of the zoological and botanical examinations was to provide scientific foundations for turning the Őrség Landscape Conservation Area into a national park.
