It was inherited on male line for three generations. In 1879 Elek Jóba the first was only a part-owner, but after a short period he became the leader of the office and turned it into the largest publishing and printing enterprise by the centenary in Szabolcs County. The first owner was a successful businessman and also a highly respected citizen, who enlarged the equipment park of the printing-office with new high-speed printing machines. The company's most fruitful period - from 1906 to 1918 - was under the direction of Elek Jóba the second, the eldest son of the founder of the printing-office. In a little more than a decade he completed all business activities that such a country office was capable. Between 1914 and 1916, Elek Jóba the second equipped his typographic workshop with up to date printing-machines, he had an independent centre built, and he widened the profile of his publishing office as well.
