100 NATURA SOMOGYIENSIS na. Head, metasoma, antennae, legs and mesosoma black in colour, tegulae rusty red. Mesonotum, scutellar scale and middle part of tergite 2 with sparse black or dark setae, other parts of body and legs with sparse pale setae forming weak band on posterior part of metasomal segments, most densely on tergite 2. Wings somewhat dark, barely transparent (Fig. 175). 5-10 mm. Palaearctic species, it was described on the basis of a male specimen from Banat (Serbia). The female is unknown. It is not uncommon in Hungary (Fig. 16). Males are found frequently on umbels of wild carrots (Daucus carota L.). Known period of collection: 25. VI— 12. VIII. Distribution: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, as well as Kazakhstan. Physetopoda daghestanica (RADOSZKOWSKJ, 1885) Skorikovia OVCHINNIKOV, 2002 Female with large spot of pale pubescence on metasomal tergite 2; distance between spot and posterior band of pale pubescence equal to or shorter than diameter of spot. Female of the species occurring in Hungary unknown. Male metasomal tergite 2 with long, straight felt line, sternite 2with short felt line sometimes reduced to a few dots. Mandibles tridentate, not widening toward apex. Base of volsella with wide lobe , cuspis long and narrow, basivolsella with very long setae. Posterior part of tergites with weak band of pubescence Only one Palaearctic species belongs in this genus, which also occurs in Hungary. 1 (2) Apterous forms, females: still unknown. 2 (1) Winged forms, males. Mandibles tridentate, long, pointed, with strong obtuse protrusion on outer side (Fig. 113). Carina on inner side of metacoxa posteriorly ending in well-developed tooth. Metasomal tergite 1 longer than its maximum width. Pygidium nearly twice as wide as its length, densely punctate and with long setae from side. Head, antennae, legs and metasoma black. Dorsal part of mesosoma (pronotum, mesonotum, tegulae, scutellum, propodeum and upper parts of mesopleuron) rusty red, black underneath. Head, mesosoma and legs with sparse pale setae, posterior part of tergites 2, 3 and 4 with more or less dense long erect setae forming weak band. Mesothorax, tegulae and tergites 5-7 with sparse erect black or greyish brown setae. Wings transparent (Fig. 183). 9-10 mm. South-east European steppe species. It is exceptionally rare in Hungary, no more than seven male specimens are known from four localities (Fig. 21). Known period of collection: 19. VII-26. VII.
