Somogyvári Ágnes: Egy Árpád-kori település lakóházai Kiskunfélegyháza-Haleszen
Dwelling houses of a settlement from the Arpadian age in Kiskunfélegyháza-Halesz ÁGNES SOMOGYVÁRI The excavation, which has been carried out in the fields called Halesz of Kiskunfélegyháza and had the unearthing of the remains of a settlement from the Arpadian age as a result, is connected to the construction of highway M5. We dug up 11 buildings, one outdoor oven, 2 other ovens, 162 pits, 24 ditches and 4 wells. Generally we can say of the houses that they were dug at a depth of 30—50 cm, had a rectangular shape and consisted of one room. In one case (house no. 3) we identified the entrance on the southern side of the house. We found the oven in 8 houses (nr. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11) and in 2 houses (no. 3 and 8) we found traces of heating. Most of the houses had a daubed floor, most of which we found in fragments. The post-holes inside the houses refer to different house structures. We observed in 3 cases a reconstruction, when other post-holes were discovered after the removal of the flooring (house no. 7, 10, 11). In order to define the age of the settlement, we rely upon the coins. Two silver coins of King Béla II laid in a pit, and 5 copper coins were found in two houses and one pit. However, a more accurate age definition will be possible only after the treatment of the finds and the detailed analysis of all the uncovered objects. 460
