's grave and his reburial I participated as a consultant at different stages of excavations conducted in several steps in Dobóruszka between 2006 and 2008. In accordance with the old wish of local residents the aim of the excavation was to clarify satisfactorily the location of István Dobó's grave, its exploration depending on the results and possibilities, and identifying the remains as far as possible. Despite all the difficulties the search after Stephen Dobó's grave and remains was successful. Physical remains were placed in the rebuilt sarcophagus completed by a replica of the cover, in front of the Gothic sanctuary of Dobóruszka church, near the former altar of St. Anne on June 28. 2008 with a solemn ceremony. 132
