Domboróczki László: A háromszögletű AVK-fejek szimbolikája

László Domboróczki THE SYMBOLISM OF TRIANGULAR ALP HEADS The most recent research into the circumstances concerning the development of Alföld Linear Pottery (ALP), and with it the Neolithisation of the northern part of the Hungarian Great Plain (Alföld), has assembled ever more evidence suggesting that the Körös Culture, with its rich Balkan roots, spreading from the south northwards through the Tisza region, also played a determining rôle in our territory in the spread of farming and those modes of existence associated with the Neolithic Age. Thanks to the extensive excavations which have taken place over the last decade, 1 we have been able to assemble material covering the emerging Szatmár Group phase of ALP culture, sufficiently wide-ranging and open to comparative analysis, to take us beyond earlier suggestions that were of a partly hypothetical nature, 2 to a more detailed and thorough examination of the processes lying behind the development of the local Neolithic way of life. The most recent evaluation of some segments of the excavated material suggests there were close relationships between the Szatmár Group and the Körös Culture, including areas which could not be researched substantially up to that point due to the lack of data. We have been able to detect new important relationships existing within the field of settlement structure, 3 in the social sphere and among the zoological, anthropological and botanical finds, 4 as well as among the plastic artefacts. 5 When 'Nándor KALICZ-Judit KOÓS 1997a.; Nándor KALICZ-Judit KOÓS 1997b.; Nándor KALICZ-Judit KOÓS 2002.; László DOMBORÓCZKI 1996.; László DOMBORÓCZKI 1997a. 2 Nándor KALICZ-János MAKKAY 1966. 44-45; 1972. 77.; Nándor KALICZ-János MAKKAY 1977. 18-19.; János MAKKAY 1982. 78-79.; 1996. 40-41.; 2001. 62-63.; József KOREK 1983. 25-26.; Pál RACZKY 1983. 189.; Pál RACZKY 1986. 29-30.; Pál RACZKY 1988. 29.; Pál SÜMEGI-Róbert KERTÉSZ 1998. 156.; Pál SÜMEGI-Róbert KERTÉSZ 2001. 413-414.; Róbert KERTÉSZ-Pál SÜMEGI 1999. 18.; Róbert KERTÉSZ-Pál SÜMEGI 2001. 237. 3 László DOMBORÓCZKI 1997b. 74-78. 4 László DOMBORÓCZKI 2001. 27-37. 5 László DOMBORÓCZKI 2000. 15., 18. 18
