the Körös-Cris-Starcevo complex. The central problem is whether the above mentioned (archaeological) material articulation (Körös-Cris and Starcevo cultures) may be pointed out on the skull variations of the unearthed cranial finds. Material and Method For the examinations the cranial finds of those adult individuals were only taken into consideration (Tables 1 and 2, Figure 1) that had at least two appreciable measurements of the 12 ones, which were examined (Tables 3 and 4). Therefore altogether 24 male and 22 female cranial finds from 15 findspots were compared. The skulls were systematized by BMDP 3M block cluster program (BMDP, 1977) relying upon the untransformated measured data. The factor (principle component) analysis was accomplished by BMDP 4M program. The missing data were standardized by Chann and Dunn's (1972) and Dear's (1959) instructions. The clustering of the factor scores was performed by BMDP IM program (BMDP 1979). The significance of the means has been controlled by help of Welch's t-test. Results Tables 3 and 4 summarize the metric characteristics of the cranial finds from the KörösCris-Starcevo civilization. As they show no important differences could be percieved between Table 1.
