ARRABONA 2012. 50/2. TANULMÁNYOK THE PICTURE AS THE COMPLETENESS OF THE ARTISTIC VISION. AN INTRODUCTION TO JÁNOS NEMETH OEUVRE AND HIS PAINTINGS OBTAINED BY THE FLÓRIS RÖMER MUSEUM OF ART AND HISTORY János Németh was born in Debrecen and has been living in Switzerland. He started his artistic studies in Budapest and finished them in Zürich. He made a living as a graphic designer and a theatre scenery painter, but he was interested in the new potentials of the abstract painting as well. From the beginning his main subjects have been the nature and reality that he has interpreted more and more complex way. His painting has been built on a high level of abstraction, although he has drawn on his everyday personal experiences and also the reinterpretation of the nature of the painting. János Németh is a colour painter who restricts himself to the absolute essence and simple representation while trying to depict the surface and the depth, the reality and the truth, the particular and relative relations between presence and existence in their complexity, factual and structural richness. His works are characterised with conceptual clarity, yet they preserve their sensuality. To attain this end he has developed an own colour system. The study summarizes the creative periods and painting results, which are the most important points of reference to the interpretation of his art. Júlia N. Mészáros
