SZÜNIDŐ (VACATION) AN UNKNOWN HANDWRITTEN STUDENT’S NEWSPAPER IN THE COLLECTION OF THE XÁNTUS JÁNOS MUSEUM The miscellaneous material of the local historical collection of the contains some copies of a handwritten vacation’s newspaper of the 7th grade students of the called Szünidő (Vacation). The paper was published weekly in 8 copies on a total of 68 pages between 2nd July and 20th August 1898. The collection contains 4 copies of the total of 8 copies (4th, 6th, 7th and 8th). This handwritten student’s newspaper has been unknown to day since there are no hints to it either in the biographies of the contributors or the history of the Grammar School or the press bibliography of the county. The paper might have been edited by an editorial board headed by Erdély Ernő. The editors wanted to issue a literary paper, but it also brought news of the life of the school and the local society.
