TANULMÁNYOK A POPULAR SONG BY KÁROLY KISFALUDY IN THE ORAL TRADITION OF TÖVISHÁT A popular version of Károly Kisfaludy's song with the first line Az én babám durcás leány ("My beloved is a sullen girl") came to light in Menyő of Tövishát in 1954. The performer knew? but the first half of the tune of four verses, and he sang it - surprisingly enough - without substantial textual modification, with a pentatonic melody of descending structure. The poet's text presumably came into popular use by means of volume 5 of Bartalus István's Magyar Népdalok Egyetemes Gyűjteménye ("Universal Anthology of Hungarian Folksongs"). Almási István EINES DER VOLKSLIEDER KAROLY KISFALUDT S IN DER MUNDUCHEN ÜBERLIEFERUNG VON TÖVISHÁT Im Jahre 1954 fand man in Menyő, im Tövishát, die volkstümliche Version eines Liedes Károly Kisfaludy's, welches mit den Worten „Az én babám durcás leány" („Mein Mädchen ist eine Widerspenstige") beginnt. Der Überlieferer kannte lediglich die erste Hälfte des vier Strophen umfassenden Liedes, und sang es - überraschenderweise - ohne wesentliche Textänderung in fallender Tonleiter, fünfstufig. Das Gedicht des Poeten wurde vermutlich durch den Band V des Werkes von Bartalus István „Magyar Népdalok Egyetemes Gyűjteménye" („Universalsammlung ungarischer Volkslieder") vom Volk aufgegriffen.
