Gömör János–Márton Péter–Hertelendi Ede–Benkő Lázár: Sopron és Daurfalva (Drassburg) égett sándainak kormeghatározása fizikai módszerekkel

The conclusion is that the above named physical methods of analysis for dating correspond accurately with archeological age determination as shown in the following tables. Data from C 14 datings show lifespan of wood, while AM-TL age data of burnt clay samples give dating of the cooling off process in the mound. According to the findings, the mound may have been contructed in the decade between 1020 and 1030. The accuracy level of physical datings does not allow for a more exact determination of the timespan between building and burning out of the mounds. Evaluation of a series of samples is needed in order to obtain more accurate data. C 14 datings have been made by Ede Hertelendi (from the Research Institute for Nuclear Science of the Hungarian Academu of Sciences in Debrecen). Am determinations were made by Péter Marton (from the Eötvös Lóránd University of Sciences in Budapest, Department of Geophysics). TL datings have been done by Lázár Benkő (Isotope of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest), while the archeological summary is presented by János Gömöri (from the University Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Veszprém, Work Committee of Industrial Archeology) and the Museum of Sopron.
