István Vásárhelyi and István Fekete Keywords: Miskolc-Lillafüred, valley of Garadna, Lutra, trout farm, animal fiction István Fekete, after being neglected as a writer for a longer period, returned to the scene of literature with his novel entitled Lutra. The title hero of the book is an otter, chosen by the author as an ideal animal figure to present in detail Hungarian water flora and fauna and its surroundings. Lutra, of course, moves from place to place, and visits a trout farm. It is evident that the plot of this episode takes place in the valley of Garadna around Miskolc, and the head of the fish farm in the valley can be identified as István Vásárhelyi. The renowned scholar of the Bükk mountains was well known by István Fekete, who taught the craft of fishing at the time in a school at the Hungarian plain. As he wanted to introduce meticulously the life of otters, he could not remain silent about the occasional damages they caused. The mostly acknowledged specialist of artificial trout breeding of the time was István Vásárhelyi, thus the writer, aiming for authenticity, could not left from his novel Lutra the biologist who was famous for his zoological collection.
