CENTURY In the traditional Hungárián society the customary time for the marriages and weddings was the laté Fali and the end of Winter according to earlier literature. But this picture is not synchronous with the results of the local case studies of historical demography and does not suit the figures collected through the analysis of the official statistical data of the marriage seasonality. There was at least half a dozen régiónál patterns of the former in the traditional Hungárián society which were defined much stronger by the affiliation by denominations than the connection to agriculture. The formation of régiónál seasonality patterns was alsó influenced by the levél of urbanization and literacy, the strength of traditional mentality and way of thinking and of course the social and occupational stratification.
