But the bulk of data refers no to Chechen-Ingoosh AS SR but mostly to the Western Caucasus. The occurrence of 128 species was published by Botosaneanu and Malicky (1978) from the whole Caucasus. We collected three endemic species of the mountains (Glossosoma unguiculatum Mart.,Hydropsyche martynovi Bots, and Drusus caucasicus Ulm.). Four species proved to be new for the fauna of the Caucasus. Hydropsyche instabilis Curt, is spread all over West- and Central Europe, and it occurs in Iran, too. Its occurrence has been expected. Plectrocnemia intermedia Mart, is known as the endemism of the Crimean Penninsula. Two males were taken South from Torgim in 1988. Limnephilus hirsutusPict. A well spread species living all over Europe and Asia Minor. It was to be expected from the Caucasus, also. Micropterna sequax McL. In the Caucasus only M. clavata Mart, had already been collected earlier, we also collected this caddisfly. These two species are very close to each other. Sometimes some sequax McL. specimens are very similar to M. clavata Mart., in Hungary few such specimens were captured. We can suppose that clavata Mart, is a subspecies of sequax McL. by chance. This theme will require further examinations. In our faunistical list Hydropsyche sciligra Mai. described from Iran (Malicky 1977) is not indicated. Several animals were taken both on the lowland and in the mountains which were similar to sciligra Mai., but Fig. 2. Genitals of Glossosoma unguiculatum Mart. 9.1: Terminal of abdomen lateral, 2: dorsal, 3: ventral, 4—5: bursa copulatrix.
