14 1921 No. 8. 58,/po!. The Minister of Hungary in Vienna, Dr. Gratz, to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Count Teleki. [TRANSLATION] Code telegram No. 5. VIENNA, January 5, 1921. The Austrian Government, after to-day's session of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, will reply regarding the negotiations we proposed. 1 According to the French Minister in Vienna, 2 the decision of the Conference of Ambassadors 3 does not exclude the possibility of a friendly agreement with Austria which, in his view, Hungary ought to prepare by sending her observations and wishes to Paris. The French Minister is willing to forward these observations. In his opinion, the decision of the Conference of Ambassadors only modifies the situation so that negotiations for a friendly agreement should now be conducted not with the Austrian Government directly but with the mediation of the Conference of Ambassadors. No. 9. 56/pol. The Minister of Hungary in Vienna, Dr. Gratz, to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Count Teleki. [TRANSLATION] Code telegram No. 6. VIENNA, January 5, 1921.
