Accordingly the Austrian Government denied our participation in the common treasury assets in Austria. If this Austrian position were accepted by competent circles for the settling of differences of opinion about Articles 208

4 I have just had an interview with Mgr. Seipel; he is not optimistic. To-night he has a meeting with the members of the Committee. I have addressed a note to the Chancellor, as instructed by ordinance No. 334/res. pol. on the 18th inst.

5 I have just received his answer in the form of a private letter as below.

/Pol. beehre ich mich zu versichern, dass ich nicht versäumen werde E. E. nach der Sitzung des Ausschusses für Äusseres die für morgen den 27-ten des M. 11 Uhr vormittags anberaumt ist, die entsprechende Mitteilung sofort zukommen zu lassen. Jedoch glaube ich mit Bezug des von E.
