Its .guiding principles are: to give a coherent Biblical vision of God’s revealed plan of*salvation, further to train for practical Church work based on*-the Word of God. The agreed material for one course comprises 80 lessons. In order to give a united training for leaders of Bible courses, two special courses were arranged, one in Sárospatak and the other in Budapest. More than hundred students attended the courses, one third of •which were women. Subjects lectured upon were: God’s plan of salvation in the Old and New Testament, introduction into systematic theology, survey of Church history, the life of the Church, Church and society, Church and State, deaconry, spiritual care, Jewish and Gentile mission. Besides these subjects, lectures ivore held on the Ecumenical movement and the new Church hymnary. Students of the courses passed exams and received certificates, authorizing them to teach at secondary Bible courses. 60$ of the graduated students are ministers of the Gospel, 30$ though not ministers yet professional Christian workers . For the time being the organisation of 24 secondary Bible courses seems to be secured in the different paris of the countryv. These courses aim at giving diaber Biblical knowledge to those Christians who already attended a fundamental Bible course. Fundamental Bible courses were already held in many hundred congregations in the past year.
