-3 Ho 5. May 26, 19 49 way, individualistic evangelization must be turned into social -evangelization,and must be directed at the Kingdom ox God instead of individual salvations. Instead of preaching individual conversion to Christ, turning to Christ as to the head of the body, and organic participation in the universal ministering, in which the salvation of the individual is not the goal but a free gift of Grace must be preached. Evangelists must finally realize that only the great cause of Christ, God's redeeming work and fight, the Kingdom of God deserve that souls may be revived from the sleep and death of sin. The decision we wish to help souls to,means the victory of Christ over Satan and not merely the insurance of cur worm life. In the present round of history,God explains his Gospel Himself. That which is happening in the field of economics, welfare, and politics, occurs not without the will of God but directly according to His will, and shows decisively and inspiringly what should take place in the history of salvation: a ministering community of love for the Kingdom of God of Christian congregations, the socialism of evangelization, the recognition of which will give a different, actual meaning to our evangelization and congregation-building work. Therefore we must work and pray together,so that both parties may learn the same lesson and that we may receive the blessing of God in one and the same congregation,in the same body of Christ." This is the report which was accepted by the Synod as one to be followed in its theological principles by all workers of the Synod. DR.
