82 Hidrológiai Közlöny 2020. 100. évf. 2. sz. - meeting with members of HHS in Eisenstadt (February 1996)- participating at the Leitha-Symposium of the regional HHS in Győr (April 1998)- workshop together with HHS concerning „Water balance and water quality of Fertő tó“ (May 2000)- organising an excursion of HHS visiting the Flood Forecasting Center of Hydrographischer Dienst in Linz and the Institute for Lake Ecology, Fish Biology and Lake Research in Schärfling (May 2001)- Water balance and water quality in Szigetköz: Technical excursion together with HHS (May 2004). For the fact that both countries and both societies especially are interested not only in the River Danube but also in Lake Neusiedl / Fertő a study that was published in 2014 may contribute to refresh the cooperation between the two organisations in the years to come: Strategy study (Strategie Studie) for Neusiedler See (Fertő tó), published by the Austrian-Hungarian Border Commission for rivers and lakes in 2014, Phase 1, Eisenstadt, 246 pp. This study gives a lot of details concerning the physical, chemical etc. properties of the lake, includes studies of the climatic conditions, wind induced currents, the reed belt and others. Conflicts, danger and potential in all fields are discussed as well as the transboundary perspectives and proposals for solutions.
