224 HIDROLÓGIAI KÖZLÖNY 2008. 88. ÉVF. 6. SZ. időszakra jellemző alacsonyabb hőmérsékleten fotoszintézisük nem gátlódik ilyen nagy mértékben, ám ennek megállapításához még további vizsgálatok szükségesek. A szikes tavi pikocianobaktérium fotoszintézise mind a magas pH, mind a magas szalinitás értékeket jól tolerálta, ezen képessége (magas hőmérséklet és fényigénye mellett) biztosítja számára a szikes tavakban kialakuló szélsőséges körülmények elviselését. Salinity and pH dependence of photosynthesis of prokaryotic and eukaryotic algal strains Vanyovszki, J. The applied pH range was between 7 and 10,2, the conductivity range was between 700 and 40000 ^iS cm" 1. The photosynthesis was measured by light-dirk bottle technique with LDO HQ20 sensor. According to our results, the lower salinity of the alkaline turbid lakes in spring and autumn play an important role in the seasonal succession of picoeukaryotes, however the high pH of these lakes is suboptimal for them. The high pH and salinity tolerance of the ACT06 11 picocyanobacterium strain allows of sustain the extreme conditions in these water bodies. The cosmopolitan green alga Selenastrum capricornutum had a wide pH and salinity tolerance. The picocyanobacterium strain isolated from Lake Balaton proved to be a typical freshwater alga not tolerating high pH and conductivity values. Keywords: picoalgal strains, pH stress, salinity stress.
