92 HIDROLÓGIAI KÖZLÖNY 1993. 73. ÉVF., 1. SZÁM Abstract: Keywords: Recenthydrogeologjcal-speleological explorations and developments envisaged at Miskolc-Tapolca Szlabóczky, P. - Hegedűs, F. - Czakó, L. In theeastem block of the karstified limestone masses of the Bükk Rangé a unique network of thermal and cold karstwater passages has developed during the past 25 millión years of geological history. Somé of these have already been explored, both above(Barlang-bath) and below the karstwater level (Olaszkút), thermal shaft). Others have been inferred from the results of ground surveys and hydrogeological studies. The totál length of the natural-artificial caves explored in the rock is 300 m. Theunderground andunderwater, as well asthe surface karst phenomena display important features of the intermittent geological evolution of the area. The unique network of karst caves offers interesting opportunities for civil engineers and architects alike. Examples of these are the Barlang (Cave) bath completed by the late sixties. the current expansion thereof, the exploration and deepening of the thermal shaft supplyingit, further the exploration and expansion of the passages feeding thecoldwater shaft (Italian well) sunk at the beginning of the present century. karst development, caves, bath architecture, karstwater shaft SZLABÓCZKY PAL Szakmai működésének leírása a Hidrológiai Közlöny 1991. évi 5. számának 311. oldalán közöltük
