MUSICA MUNDI of the costs for choirs coming from economically poor countries participating in these events; for the assistance of activities aiming to bring young people closer to choral art; for the awarding of scholarships to talented young choir conductors, musicians, singers, and to amateur choral and musical groups for their outstanding achievements. More than 150 international experts have been invited to participate, as jury members or clinicians in the following MUSICA MUNDI events: wind band and choral competitions, composition competitions, seminars, symposiums, choral festivals and international musical meetings. In a short period of time the trademark of the Interculture Foundation “Music of the World“ - MUSICA MUNDI has become the cultural meeting place for all nations, whether North, South East or West, with so far 56 different countries, 60,000 active participants and musical specialists from around the world. MUSICA MUNDI stands for the meeting and artistic exchange of choirs, orchestras and bands of different geographical regions. Through these cultural exchanges all involve manage to overcome the borders, to raise esteem and to become acquainted with each other while developing an awareness for peaceful relations. The Summer Music Festival Eger-Budapest is the 29th great international event of the MUSICA MUNDI series, organized by the Interculture Foundation. All the events were carried out with the co-operation of communities, national choral federations, ministries of culture, cultural associations, federations and organisations. Our events have received high patronage from Mr. Árpád Göncz the President of Hungary, from Mrs. Sarolta Kodály, the widow of the great Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály, from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State of Israel and the Mayors of all the hosting towns. MUSICA MUNDI also symbolizes the unique artistic idea of inviting the best international choirs of the world to the festivals of the Interculture Foundation, while simultaneously intensifying the promotion of choirs of all musical levels.
