Water-polo has always been a very important factor in the sporting life of the town. After a long interval, Eger again has a men’s water-polo team of international fame, Brendon-ZF Eger.

The Bárány Swimming-pool

The first outdoor swimming-pool was built in 1856. On its site today’s Bárány swimming-pool was built in 1925. An international swimming competition was held in it on the occasion of the ceremonial inauguration. Today only the up-and-coming generation uses it.
