The craftsmen and the trade-association hardly could or couldn't survive in the least the burdens of the second world war, the liquidation of Jewish craftsmen and later the lack of materials and the system of material-allocation and therefore a great number of them ceased their work in 1948-49 and they were forced to work in co-operatives or to live from other sources. The trade-association was liquidated and its properties were took into national ownership in 1950.
