We know from the royal accounts that in the years of 1545 and 1546 chains for the prin­cesses were ordered at goldsmiths. In July 1545 Marcin, a goldsmith from Krakow, received gold from Queen Bona to lengthen three necklaces for the princesses, and in August he re­ceived a new commission to make three chains patterned on the chain owned by the wife of 22 Ruszczycówna, Janina: Nieznane portrety ostatnich Jagiellonów.
