It was described from Hungary and since that time it has been collected only from Bulgaria. Heleomyzidae Schroederella hungarica PAPP et CARLES-TOLRÁ, 1994 - 1 male: Budapest, Pestszentlőrinc, Halmi-erdő, akácos tisztásán (Calamagrostis), 99. XI. 11., leg. PAPP L. The species is probably developing in runs and nests of small rodents. Schroederella kirilli sp. n. (Figs 1-5) Type material - Holotype male (HNHM): [Hungary] Pécs Thalhammer "1 26" - [20 x 5.5 mm greyish label, ?THALHAMMER'S handwriting] "Schroederella iners Mg" - [13.5 x 7 mm, hard white paper label] "Blepharoptera iners Mg." [G. ZSIRKÓ's handwriting] coll. THALHAMMER. A red label of 23 x 8 mm (Holotypus male "Morpholeria hun-garica Gorodkov." [K. B. GORODKOV's handwriting] was removed from the specimen while described, but it has been kept beside with "removed by L. Papp 2006" on the reverse side. Description - Measurements in mm (holotype): body length 5.17, length of wing 5.84, breadth of wing 1.95. Vertex and occiput dark grey, postgena yellowish grey, frons dirty yellow, gena and facial plate greyish yellow but antennái foveae darker grey and peristomal area thick grey microtomentose. Anterior ors lateroclinate and slightly reclinate, distinctly shorter than posterior ors but still not short (0.35 mm). Peristomals not weak, longest ones 0.20 mm. Longest "beard" setae 0.40 mm. Gena below eye 0.40 mm, height of eye 0.75 mm. Flagellomere black, pedicel and scape greyish red, arista thickened basally, much longer than height of head. Palpi yellow with very strong, 0.26 mm, laterally directed apical bristle and other 2 long setae more proximally. Thorax dark grey, dorsocentral setae emerge from darker brown diffuse spots. As usual for Schroederella spp., 2 very long posterior katepisternal setae present but other 2 conspicuous shorter kepst and several short kepst in addition. Anepisternum anteriorly (below stigma) with 1 long and 5-6 short setae. Wings brownish grey, veins ochre. Terminal section of M vein 1.57 mm, intracrossvein section 1.165 mm.
