Heteroconis spinosa New, 1990 (Fig. 36) New 1990: 667 (description), Meinander 1990: 18. Distribution: New Guinea Heteroconis striata New, 1990 (Fig. 37) New 1990: 679 (description), Meinander 1990: 18. Distribution: New Guinea Heteroconis thawati sp.n. (Figs 38A-D) Holotype - Male: Thailand, Trang Prov., Khao Phu - Khao Ya National Park, Wan Nam Prai Protected Area, secondary broad leaved forest, netting, 30. 11. 2003; leg.: A Orosz & Gy. Sziráki. Deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum. Description - Head without corniform projection. Head capsule and palpi dark brown. Eyes large, greyish-black. Antennae 18 segmented, 1 mm long. Scape about 3 times as long as broad, and 2 times as broad as the flagellar segments. Pedicel pyriform, 1.5 times as long as broad. Most of the flagellar segments somewhat longer than broad. Ordinary hairs are in two rather irregular whorls on the flagellar segments, while the narrow, bent scale-like hairs are scattered on the surface of pedicel and flagellar segments (Fig. 38A). Colour of scape and pedicel light brown, flagellar segments 1-3 and the apical one whitish, while the flagellar segments 4-15 black. Thorax brown, with black shoulder spots, legs light brown. Length of fore wing 2.0 mm, of hind wing 1.7 mm. Cross-wein Rs-M situated distally to both median setae, while the cross-wein M-Cul is between them. The membrane of fore wing greyish brown, with large hyaline spots (Fig. 38B), the hind wing is brown. Male genitalia as in Figs 38C, D. Ectoproct weakly sclerotized. Ninth sternite rather small, quadrangular. Its caudal projection consists of a distinct, but moderately large median- and two long, in lateral view sinuated lateral branches. Gonocoxite wide, and has an inwards and downwards directed projection originating from its dorso-caudal part. Stylus moderately long, unforked. Its distal part bearing very strong setae. Penis moderately long also, with long basal apodeme. Remarks - Heteroconis thawati is very close to Heteroconis javanica Monserrat, 1982. The main distinctive features of the new species are the distinct median branch of the caudal projection of the ninth sternite (in H. javanica it is absent); the sinuated, very long lateral branches of the same organ (in H. javanica only curved, and moderately long); and the altering pattern of the coloration of antennae. Moreover, there are scalelike hairs on the antennae of H. thawati, and this is the first case when such hairs have been recognized in an Aleuropteryginae species.
