Ascogaster gonocephala Wesmael, 1835 — Distributed sporadically in Europe, known from six countries (England, Belgium, France, Hungary, Serbia, Moldavia). In Hungary a rare species, listed from four localities. First reported from "Dobogókő" in Hungary (Szépligeti 1899: 99), however, the specimen proved to represent A. klugii Nees rectified by Szépligeti himself. — Localities: II/l: 1 female: Budapest. 1 female: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy. 1 female: Nagykovácsi — III/l (Slovakia): 1 female: Garamszölős (= Rybnik) — VI/2: 1 female: Szilvásszentmárton — V and VII. Ascogaster grahami Huddleston, 1984 — The species was described one decade ago and proved immediately a frequent species in Europe, listed from many localities in seven countries (Huddleston 1984: 362). From Hungary it was recently reported (Papp 1994a: 306). — Localities: 1/1: 2 females: Bátorliget, swept in Cirsio-Festucetum pratensis. 1 female: Dabas, Gyón. 1 female: Őrbottyán: Őrszentmiklós — 1/2: 1 female: Pápa — II/l: 1 male: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy. 2 females: Nagykovácsi. 1 female: Pilismarót — 1 1/2: 1 male: Aggtelek, Szelcepuszta. 4 females: Jósvafő, Szelce-völgy. 10 females + 8 males: Noszvaj, Síkfőkút, taken in Quercetum petraeae-cerris. 1 female: Szin, Mohos-galya. 1 female: Szögliget, Patkós-völgy — VI/2: 1 female: Bőszénfa, Ropolypuszta — IV-VIII, taken frequently in July-August. Ascogaster klugii (Nees, 1816) (= A. neesi Reinhard, 1867) — Widely distributed in Europe, in Hungary a frequent species. — Localities: 1 female: Balmazújváros, taken with soil trap. 2 females: Bátorliget. 1 female + 1 male: Csévharaszt. 1 male: Kelebia. 1 male: Pirtó. 1 female: Szigetbecse. 1 female + 1 male: Újszentmargita. 1 female: Zsombó — 1/2: 1 female + 1 male: Jánosháza— II/l: 1 female + 1 male: Bodajk, Gajaszurdok. 1 male: Budakeszi. 1 male: Budapest. 1 male: Gyulafirátót, Kis-Papod. 1 male: Pilisszentkereszt, Dobogókő. 1 male: Úrkút. 1 female: Visegrád — II/2: 1 male: Mátraszentimre, Bagolyirtás. 1 male: Jósvafő, Szelce-völgy — III/l (Slovakia): Selmecbánya (= Banská Stiavnica) — VI/2: 1 male: Balatongyörök. 1 female: Mernye, Rákóczi utca — III and V-VIII, taken mostly in July. Ascogaster quadridentata Wesmael, 1835 — In Hungary it has been reared from ten caterpillar hosts (Gelechiiidae 1 species, Phycitidae 1 species and Tortricidae 8 species) as follows: Ancylis apicella Denis et Schiffermüller, Cydia funebrana Treitschke, C. medicaginis Kuznetzov, C. nigricana Fabricius, C. pomonella Linnaeus, C. sinara Felder, Etiella zinckenella Treitschke, Hedya nubiferana Hübner, Recurvaria leucatella Clerck and Spilonota ocellana Denis et Schiffermüller. In Hungary one of the promising braconid species in the biological control practice of plant protection (Papp 19946: 496). — Localities: 1/1: 18 females + 17 males from 27 localities — 1/2: 2 females + 1 male from 3 localities — II/l: 33 females + 17 males from 19 localities — II/2: 9 females + 9 males from 13 localities — III/l (Slovakia): 1 male: Garamrudnó (= Rudno nad Hronom) — III/2-5 (Transylvania): 5 females + 7 males from 10 localities — V/l: 2 females + 1 male from 2 localities — VI/1-2: 12 females + 10 males from 13 localities — IV-XI, taken and reared most frequently in May-August. Ascogaster reticulata Watanabe, 1967 — Described from Japan and recently discovered in Slovakia (Banská Stiavnica = Selmecbánya, Capek and Luká§ 1989: 42).
