consisting of a few semierect and many longer, erect hairs. Elytra very narrow, subparal­lel-sided, flat; with coarse punctures separated by distances about as broad as puncture diameter; interspaces largely flat but surface set with straggling, flat, smooth protuber­ances; clothed with scattered, very fine, moderately long, semierect pubescence mixed with a number of much longer, erect hairs. Legs long and slender, with long hairs; all ti­biae nearly straight; middle and hind tibiae with indistinct denticulation along inner edge. Abdominal sternite V widely notched; apex of modified sternite VI and aedeagus usually vis ible in ventral aspect (Fig. 25). Aedeagus: Figs 26-27. Habitus: Fig. 28. Not larger on the average; eyes much smaller; EI= 13: 11; antennái segments much­shorter and stouter; segment I not longer than half the distance between antennái sockets; relative lengths of segments VIII to XI: 9:9:8: 13; pronotum broader; all tibiae totally un­armed; abdominal sternite V broadly rounded at apex. Holotype, 3, labelled as follows: "NEW GUINEA: NE Mt. Kaindi 2000-2350 m. 10-11. I. 1965"; "J. et M. Sedlacek Collectors BISHOP". It is deposited in BPBM. Paratypes (total 9 specimens).
