Pilobatella monstruosa sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 295-373 um, width: 121-183 um. Prodorsum: Lamellae comparatively short, lamellar setae arising on their cuspis (Fig. 29). AU prodorsal setae very thin, finely ciliate, their ratio: ro le in, but no great differences among them. Surface finely punctate. Tutorium short but well observable, ending far from the in­sertion of rostral setae (Fig. 31). Notogaster: Pteromorphae short, nearly triangular. Notogastral surface also punctate. Ten pairs of short, fine notogastral setae, and four pairs of small, hardly discernible sacculi present (Fig. 29). Coxisternal region: Strongly chitinized; medially a wide field without structure and sculpture (Fig. 32), framed by strong longitudinal laths. Apodemes 2 and ap. sej. normally developed, but between the sejugal and third apodemes a semicircular formation present, followed by strong laths posteriorly. Discidium strongly widened medially, like a rounded eaves reaching over the epimeral surface. Epimeral setal formula: 3-1-3-3, all short and fine. Epimeral surface ornamented by irregular spots.
