S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 47/1-2. (Budapest, 1986)

Uroppia kenyaensis sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 442-488 um, width: 221-239 um. Prodorsum: Prodorsum long, rostrum also elongated anteriorly. Rostral setae arising on dorsal surface of prodorsum. All prodorsal setae strong, well ciliate, their ratio: le in = ro ex (Fig. 19). Sensillus dilate, unilaterally ciliate. Prodorsal surface with short, weak costulae, some smaller interbothridial foveolae and some larger spots laterally also present. Exobothridial region granulate. Notogaster: Ten pairs of notogastral setae present, setae ta minute, setae ps^, pSg and psg shorter than the others. Setae ps^ originating more anteriorly than r^, so only two pairs of ps setae originating posteriorly (Fig. 17). Coxisternal region: Apodemes and borders well observable, ap. 2 and ap. sej. strongly chitinized, bo. 4 arched posteriorly (Fig. 18), therefore, genital aperture placed between them. Epimeres 3 and 4 very large, much larger than epimeres 1 and 2. Surface of epimeres partly ornamented by polygonate sculpture. Epimeral setae different in length, setae 3c, 4b and 4c much longer than the others, setae lc arising far from pedotecta 1. Anogenital region: genital aperture much smaller than anal ones. Anogenital setae similar to the type of genus. Anogenital setal formula: 5-1-2-3. Adg stands anteriorly, near to the epimeral border 4. Lyrifissure iad set in adanal position. Material examined: Holotypus (1189-HO-86): No. 74; 3 paratypes: from the same sample. Holotypus and 1 paratype (1189-PO-86) deposited in the HNHM, 1 paratype in: MHNG and 1 paratype in: NHMN. Remarks: It is the third Uroppia Balogh, 1983 species. It is distinguished from both others by the longer prodorsal setae and the position of setae ad and lyrifissure iad. Fig. 16.
