Pronotum 1.16 times broader than long, anterior corners triangular. Punctures on head and pronotum also similar to males, surface shagreened, closely covered with large shallow pits, punctures on pronotum distinctly larger and scattered than on head. Longitudinal furrow of mesonotum shorter, sharper margined only on the larger specimens. Pro­podeum as in male, but lateral spine longer, nearly as long as half length of propodeum medially (12:13); spine acute, seeing from above and rounded in lateral view, the parallel wrinkle reaching to the spine below the upper margin of the lateral sides of propodeum. Tergite 2 distinctly punc­tured and polished only posteriorly, densely punctured laterally, especially before posterior margin, excepting the triangular smooth polished area along the ventro-lateral margin anteriorly. The female is related to S. petersi Móczár, 1984, reported from Sri Lanka, differs from it especially by the unpunctured tergite 2 posteriorly, by the shagreened area of episternum, by the length and breadth relation of pronotum and by POL:OOL, by the malar space not half as long as eye etc. Distribution.
