Its nearest ally is Anechura modesta Bey-Bienko, 1959, with the following differences: 1. Posterior margin of male pygidium 2. Inner margin of male forceps 3. Basal vesicle of male genitalia lucifer sp. n. undulate with one tooth lobate near virga modesta Bey-Bienko rounded with three teeth unlobate near virga Forficula auricularia Linnaeus, 1758 Forficula auricularia Linnaeus, 1758, Syst. Material examined: 113 ex. Nat. (ed. 10), 1: 423. - Terra typica: Europe. Forficula sagitta Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1936 Forficula sagitta Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1936, Faune de l'URSS, Dermaptera, p. 135. - Terra typica: Eastern Transcaucasia. Male general colour light reddish brown, head, pronotum with two wide stripes, and yellow laterally; scape, and pedicel and basal portion of antennae yellow, rest brownish; tegmina yellow medially, with wide humeral margin, narrow posterior and lateral margins, brown. Wings yellow. Abdomen dark brownish black, forceps and pygidium red. Postfrontal and coronal sutures narrow but well marked. Eyes comparatively large, but shorter than length of head behind eyes.Pronotum a little broader than long, lateral margins parallel, postero-lateral angles and posterior margin rounded. Tegmina and wings fully developed. Abdomen typical of the genus. Penultimate sternite Figs 9-11. 9 = Male ultimate tergite and forceps of Forficula sagitta Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, and 10 = male genitalia. - 11 = Male ultimate tergite and forceps of F. tomis (Kolenatl)
