Figs 1-5. Anthicus (Aulacoderus) ghanensis sp.n. Budapest (micropreparation); Paratype: same data as for Holotype, but 1.-4.12.1965, No. 101, in coll. Uhmann. Remarks: This species belongs in the Flavopictus group (van HILLE, 1961) or Section 16 (van HILLE, 1983). It resembles A. (A.) vaulogerl Pic (1897) described from Algeria. A type has been dissected, redescribed and illustrated (van HILLE 1983). It has no pigmented pattern on the elytra but in A. (A.) ghanensis the elytral pattern is variable and much more distinct In No. 100, the Paratype than in No. 101 the Holotype. In A. (A.) vaulogerl the tegmen of the aedeagus Is apically less pointed and the four subaplcal structures are more like spines than hairs; the median lobe is membranous, apart from the' basal pointed bar and lacks the dark apical sclerite; the proportion of the length of basal and apical pieces of the tegmen is different.
