it differs besides the features keyed within the couplets chiefly by the punctures of sternite 2 being distinctly larger than on the lateral part of tergite 2, by tergite 2 not finely punctured, by the length relations of antennái joints 2-6 (not 6: 8: 4: 4: 4), by the head not being broader than long, etc , Sulcomesitius crassipunctatus Móczár, 1970 Sulcomesitius crassipunctatus Móczár, 1970b: Acta zool.hung. 16; 411, 428 g Specimen examined: 1 £ Los Banos (holotype). - Distribution: Illg. Specimens examined: 1 o_ , 1 ó* N. W. Chiangmai (holotype and allotype). - Distribution: Illg. Thailand (MÓCZÁR 1977). Sulcomesitius petersi sp. n. o_ . - Length 4 mm. Head and thorax black, mandibles, clypeus, scape basally and apically, as well as femora, and tibiae, whole antennái joints 2-4(5), all tarsi yellowish red, other parts of legs brown, lower part of antennái joints 6-13 yellowish brown, abdominal segments 1-2 black partly dark red translucent, segments 3-6 reddish. Wings normal, fore wings strongly brownish infuscated with a small pale spot at basis and with a sharply margined narrow streak outside of cells, pterostigma, veins dark brown, hind wings hyaline. Body especially lateral part of tergite 2 covered with scattered white hairs, tergite 2 without a row of tuft of hairs. Head 1.1 times longer than broad (fig. 63), broadened and gradually converging behind eyes (fig. 62), eyes separated from occipital carina by equal distance of length of propodeal spine, occipital carina small, frons shagreened, weakly shining, shallowly and more densely punctured (fig. 63) than on S. nigroalatus sp. n., interspaces very narrow, frontal sulcus absent; ocelli In an acute angle, outer margins with a narrow groove each, hind ocelli separated from each other by slightly greater distance than half distance from eyes, POL:OOL = 5:9; eyes small, convex, length and breadth of eye = 18:15, separated from mandibles by half length (9 : 9); anterior margin of clypeus semicircularly protruding only medially, on both sides with sharp right-angled corners, diverging backwards, surface with a sharp and high longitudinal keel in the middle; antennae stout, flagellum thickened medially, only antennái joints 1-3 slender, joints 2-4 nearly as long as scape, 2-3 distinctly longer than broad, 4-11 broader than long, 12 rectangular, length (and breadth) proportions of antennái joints 1-13 = 22(6): 7(4.5): 8(6): 4(6): 4(6): 4(6): 4(6): 5(6): 4(5): 4(5): 4(5): 4(4): 7(4). Pronotum 1.33 times broader in front (fig. 62) than long in the middle (without collar), anterior corners rather sharp, lateral sides slightly concave anteriorly, strongly diverging posteriorly, hind margin slightly emarginated, surface coarsely sculptured with larger and more scattered punctures than on head (fig. 62), scarcely shining, longitudinal furrow narrow. Mesonotum and scutellum more shining, finely punctured and only with some larger punctures especially on scutellum posteriorly. Parapsidal furrow present, notaulices deep, sharply margined, longitudinal furrow shallower than notaulices and developed only in distal third (fig. 61). Scutellum without basal furrow. Propodeum hardly (1.05 times) longer than half diameter transversally before spines (19 : 18), latter acute (viewed from above or from the side), hardly longer than half length of propodeum (10 : 9.5), sublateral area only with some fine wrinkles (fig. 61) all carinae and areas developed. Lateral sides of propodeum moderately sculptured. Punctures of episternum larger and deeper, denser than on head, with transversal groove consisting of some larger punctures just below tegulae. Tergite 1 smooth, polished only with very fine and few punctures, tergite 2 with distinct and scattered punctures (fig. 64), only laterally with very dense punctures excepting the triangular smooth polished area (cf. fig. 44) along the ventro-lateral margin anteriorly. Tergites 3-5 with small punctures. Sternite 2 with very deep and scattered punctures medially, rather densely laterally. - <?. - Unknown. Holotype a: "Sri Lanka: Kan.Dist. Udwattakele Sanct.
