Mesonotum shiny. - Distribution: A Holarrtic species. . First tergite moderate narrowing from base to apex, its basal width one-third greater than apical one; latter distinctly greater than median length of second tergite. First tergite less rugose and more shiny in comparison to A. parasitellae. rl about one-fourth shorter than cuqul. Prescutellar furrow somewhat groove-like and crenulated. Flagellar joints 15-13 one-fourth to one-third longer than broad, hairs of flagellar joints erect. - Distribution: Sporadically in England, Germany and Hungary. New to the fauna of Hungary. Apanteles hedymeles Nixon, 1973 - First tergite distinctly narrowing posteriroly, its hind width shorter than median length of second tergite. Flagellum yellow distally darkening. Localities: - Within the zoogeographical district Matricum (MÓCZÁR L. 1972) frequent to common, collected in the subdistrict Pilisicum at 21 and in the Eumatricum at 7 localities.
