Parydra quinquemaculata (ISecKer, 1896): Berl. ent. Ztschr., 41: 213 (Parhydra). Holotype female (in LOEW' s collection): 1) "Warmbr Scholtz +" (LOEW s handwriting) - 2) Coll. H. LOEW - 3) 14469 - 4) "quinquemaculata Beck" (BECKER' s handwriting). The holotype is in a good state of preservation, only its left wing is a little fractured. BECKER (1926) wrote that this type is in his own collection. ActuaHy it was in LOEW' s collection, and BECKER has not any label in his collection for quinquemaculata. Napaea strandi Duda, 1942: Deutsche ent. Ztschr. , 1942: 38, syn. n. of quinquemaculata (Beck. ) Lectotype male (minutia-pinned to a kerria-bricklet with a paralectotype female): 1) (yellow label, 7x2 mm) "19 4 15" - 2) (white printed label) Ilfeld S.-Harz Duda - 3) (white, 12x5 mm) "reclinata Duda S o" - 4) (greenish grey label, 14x7 mm) "Flügelgez. 1. 5. 41." The lectotype is completely intact, the paralectotype female on their pin is without head. Paralectotype male: 1)"24 6 20"- 2) St. Wendel- Rheinl. Duda - 3) "reclinata D. ê d. Duda". All the above type-specimens were under the label " reclinata D.". On the wooden cover of the box for these specimens in DUDA's collection the following notice was found: "/reclinata D./ = Strandi D. " (DUDA' handwriting with pencil). Napaea albifacies Duda, 1942:. Deutsche ent. Ztschr., 1942: 39, syn. n. of quinquemaculata (Beck. ) Lectotype male: 1) (grey label, 9x2.5mm) "22 8 22"- 2) (printed white label) Wüstung b. Habelschwerdt 1. Duda - 3) (white, 13x5 mm) "albifacies D <j> d. D. ". The lectotype is completely intact, its two anterior dorsocentral bristle pairs are short. Paralectotypes: 2 o, 4 o_: Wüstung b. Hableschwerdt, Ilfeld S.Harz, 31. 5. 23., 13. 5. 15., 11. 9. 2., 2. 9. 21., 15. 8. 22. The two males are with the label " paracoerulea Duda". This name was not published. The type-specimens of albifacies agree with the holotype of q uinquemaculata in every respect. Halmopota insignis (Becker, 1926): Flieg, pal. Reg., 6/1: 100 (Napaea), comb. n. Holotype male: "Odessa IX 50416". It has three silvery spots on the head and two similar spots on the thorax. It is surely a species of Halmopota. The Palaearctic species of this genus need revision, during that work this specific name will prove in all probability to be a senior synonym of one of the names of the species, which were described after 1926. EPHYDRINAE Strandella Duda, 1942: Deutsche ent. Ztschr., 1942: 30 as subgenus of Lamproscatella Hend. (type-species: Scatella silacea Loew, 1860: Neue Beitr. , 7: 41, orig. des. ) is a junior synonym to the genus Neoscatella Malloch, 1933. DAHL (1959) has synonimized Strandella with Neoscatella Mall, but he regarded Neoscatella only as a subgenus of Scatella Rob.-Desv. Stranditella Duda, 1942: Deutsche ent. Ztschr., 1942: 30 (type-species: Notiphila quadrata (Fallén, 1813): K. Vetensk. Acad. Handl. , (ser. 3) 1813: 255 (orig. des. ) as subgenus of Lamproscatella Hend. DAHL (1959) synonimized Stranditella with Limnellia Malloch, 1925, which can be corroborated here. Scatella strandi Duda, 1942: Deutsche ent. Ztschr., 1942: 31, syn. n. of Scatella callosicosta Bezzi, 1895: Ditt. d. Calabria: 70. 85 syntypes of strandi were studied in the collection of DUDA. His drawing (Abb. 13) on the wing shows clearly that his strandi has the same wing as callosicosta Bezzi. DUDA compared his specimens only with crassicosta Beck, (now in the genus Neoscatella) , because he did not know callosicosta. Scatophila caviceps (Stenhammar, 1844): K. Vetensk. Acad. Handl., (ser. 3) 1843: 270 (Ephydra). Scatophila variegata var. strandi Duda, 1942: Deutsche ent. Ztschr., 1942: 35, syn.n. of caviceps (Stenh. ). Lectotype male: 1) (claret-coloured label, 8x3 mm) "8 6 18" - 2) (printed, 10x5 mm)
