PAPP (Received December 6,1977) Abstract: Locality data of 31 species of nine Acalyptrate fly families from Tuni­sia. Thor^^o£haet__^mnsJxa_ sp.n. and Meoneura tunisica sp.n. are described. Twelve oi the species are new to the fauna of Tunisia. Four scientific workers (Dr. S. MAHUNKA, Dr. L. GOZMÁNY, Dr. A. EMBEY­ISZTIN and Dr. Zs. DEBRECZY) of the Hungarian Natural History Museum had a one-month study trip to Tunisia in March-April, 1977. In the same year Mrs. L. MAHUNKA and Dr. S. MAHUNKA coUected valuable insect materials again in Tunisia. In the rich material secured my coUeagues coUected a highly interesting material of Diptera. Specimens of the following species were selected and identified. One species each of the families Sciomyzidae, Sepsi­dae, Canaceidae, Asteiidae, CamiUidae, ten species of Sphaeroceridae, four species of Dro­sophilidae.five species of Milichiidae and seven species of Carnidae (Meoneura) are pubUshed in the present paper, twelve species are new for Tunisia. Two remarkable new species be­longing in the families Sphaeroceridae and Carnidae described. It is my agreeable duty to express my most sincere thanks to the coUectors of the material below. Gozmány and Mahunka (No. 46);" 1 6: Le Sers, 3 April, 1977, netted on wayside meadow and neglected fields with weedy vegetation, leg. Mahunka (No. 48). - Distribution: Central and South Europe, Algeria, known also from Tunisia (SOÓS, 1958).
