6 that in view of their number and variants the anthropomorphic vessels from Hungary form a specific group within the figurai art of the Bronze Age. Similar representations are only known from Anatolia in this period (Troy, Alaça Höyük, Beycesultan, Boghazköy). Should this be interpreted as a convergence or, rather, as reflections of a yet little known southeastern influence acting indirectly? Neither possibility can be proven as yet.
