The earlier quarries and the sand pits opened along the outer edge of the stone quarry have totally changed and disturbed the surface. The direction, the relief of the valley can be reconstructed only by the theoretical elongation of the side walls of the valley head. The valley filled unevenly at periodic intervals. Granite debris, loess and sand and a mixture of these in various ratios have been deposited in various rhythms and periods, more or less levelling the surface. To get a clear picture of the stratigraphy we dug approximately 2 meters deeper under the cultural layer, completing the thick, well évaluable layer series covering the settlement. After the cleaning of profile A we carried on at three spots. South of the wall we unearthed a small but original part of the palaeolithic settlement in a block
