To the northwest we made a vertical section on the wall of the mine up to the present day surface: blok 'C' (Fig. 1, 2„4) and verified the presence of a Bronze Age cemetery on the western side of the quarry. The territory above the shooting range, which is unsuitable for agriculture, was afforested and during the preparation of the soil by the forestery a Bronze Age cemetery was disturbed. Scattered on the sides of the high ridges were the remains of Vatya culture urn graves and l^ate Bronze Age inhumation graves , turned out by the plough. The dating of the Late Bronze Age grave was based on a bronze needle and a fragment of black facetted pottery. The lower part of another Vatya grave was found in a small, rather irregular block on the 5m X 5m groundfloor, which had been opened with the aim of verifying the cemetery.
