Instead of using the origin al bone flute 1 during the first sounding trials, I carried out my experiments with a copy of it which was made with the synthetic resin eporezit R3 by. J. Lőrincz Working in the Restoration Department of the Hungarian National Museum. Its dimensions are the same as those of the origi­nal flute. Temporarily I completed the copy with wax. Since its margin is dam­aged, and broken, I shaped the (blowing) aperture into a slightly oval form (Fig. 1, b. hole № 3).
