The Water of the Baths of Bude »is so hot, that Geese and Pigs thrown in to them, easily lose teheir Feathers and Hair ; and even Eggs are as easily boil’d in it as on the Fire. Within the City of Buda there is a great Square, call’d St. Georg’s Market. And just by the hot Baths there is a cold Spring, so that a man may with one Hand reach the hot, and with the other the cold Water. There are Basons or Ponds of hot Water, wherein is found a Sort of Fish, which being thrown into the Danube, or other cold Water, die immediately. There are two Sorts of Baths, the upper, or of the Trinity, and those they call Mustapha’s, who was Governor of the Place, and built them with Stone, covering them over with Lead.« p. 50—51.

Inter reliquas autem jam olim teste Werhero de admir. aquis Hung, insignes habitate fuere, quae infra arcem scaturientes Regiae compellantur, sive propter vicinam Regiam, sive, quod Regio opere ornatae & conclusae, sive denique, quod in his Regeslavare consuevissent. Aliae supra Budám positae, nisi frigida e vicino fonte profluenti temperentur, usui esse vix possunt. Equidem adeo calent, ut ovis continuo elixandis idoneae censeantur, Neque subit hoc loco mirari thermas praedictas a Turcis, quibus tarnen omnia vastare libido est, non modo non corruptas, prout idem Wernherus annotavit, sed etiam cultiores, augustio- resque redditas fuisse. Hujusmodi quippe aquis Barbari ad sordes etiam animae, ut ipsi eroneé existimant, abluendas saepius de die uti assolent, ut proinde superstitio easdem protexerit. Eo sane spectare videtur Sacellum ad thermas superiores Dercisio cuidam (hi sunt Turcarum monachi) à Mahomete Bassa extructum, quod hodie D. Josepho sacratum Christiani venerantur. Spoponderat in Prodromo suo Marsillius accuratam commentationem de aquis Thermalibus, Balneorumque circa Budám figuris ; verum quid hoc de opere sperandum, ex alibi dictis pronum erit arguere.« p. 51.

»Um die Stadt herum wachsen die herrlichsten Weine und um dieselbige finden sich gute Gesund-Bäder, welche warmes Wasser führen. Man theilet sie in die Obere und Untere, iene finden sich an dem Ort, den man vor Zeiten zur Heil. Dreyfaltigkeit genannt. Diese nennet man die Mustaphanische von Mustapha, einem Bassá zu Ofen, derselbige mit Quader-Steinen verbessern mit Bley decken und mit Glaswerck zieren lassen. Bey den Obern aber Hesse er durch einen Asiatischen Baumeister 30. Getravd- und Pulver- Mühlen aufrichten und sie rings umher mit einer Mauren verwahren. Ausser und jenseits der Stadt ist, welches zu verwundern eine Quelle anzutreffen, die oben auf sied heisses Wasser hat dass darinnen die Haare dén Thieren und die Federn dem Geflügel können abgebrühet werden. In dem Grund aber befinden sich lebendige Fische und zwar von sondern guten Geschmack und angenehm zu essen. Sie sollen gleich abstehen, wann sie heraus genommen und in kalt Wasser gesetzet werden.« p. 241—242.
